Open Positions — Assistant Professor, Instructor, Postdoc Huang Lab · Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai The Huang Lab is hiring at all levels. We've just joined Vanderbilt and Broad–Cedars-Sinai as one of the three NHGRI/NIA-funded MAGen sites, developing ML/AI tools to advance genomic translational research — and we're looking for scientists to build with us. What we work on Large-scale genomics and machine learning applied to age-related human diseases, particularly cancer and neurodegeneration (including Alzheimer's). You'll have access to unique resources: DNA-sequencing data from hundreds of thousands of Mount Sinai individuals with EHR and other multidoal data, and active collaborations across this impactful national consortia. Lab website: https://labs.icahn.mssm.edu/kuanhuanglab/ Recent works not in lab website yet: https://www.biorxiv.org/search/Kuan-lin%252BHuang What you'll do Lead high-impact projects with clear scientific and clinical translational potential Develop or apply agentic AI directly into research Develop deep expertise in at least one high-dimensional data type, one computational/data-science approach, and one biological or medical domain Publish first-author manuscripts, contribute to grant proposals, and present at conferences Collaborate generously across (and beyond) the lab — co-authorship and cross-team work are encouraged Help build a culture grounded in integrity, curiosity, persistence, teamwork, and innovation Have fun. We're here to enjoy the process of making discoveries Who we're looking for PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, AI/ML genomics, statistics, computer science, or a related field At least one major open-source GitHub repository At least one first author peer-reviewed publication Background in some combination of statistical genomics, multi-omics, or machine learning/AI Strong preference for candidates who've experience Strong written and oral communication Self-directed, collaborative, and ready to own a research agenda We welcome applicants from any institutional or geographical background, at any career stage.
