Daniel Brodie's indexed work centers on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation for severe acute respiratory distress syndrome in adults, the subject of his most-cited first-author review and of later senior-author guidance on ECMO in cardiopulmonary disease. A parallel thread addresses COVID-19-associated ARDS and whether its management warrants a different approach, alongside updated ELSO guidelines and international registry analyses of evolving ECMO outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Related senior-author contributions examine early mobilization of patients receiving ECMO and the organization of ECMO programs for cardiac failure. Beyond the focus list, Brodie appears as a middle author on a prospective cohort study of critically ill adults with COVID-19 in New York City and on the EOLIA trial of ECMO for severe ARDS, both of which anchor the clinical questions above in multicenter evidence; A. S. Slutsky and Carolyn S. Calfee are among his indexed co-authors. No software, datasets, patents, or grants are indexed beyond publications. Taken together, the named works trace a line from single-center ECMO practice through prediction scores and program organization to pandemic-era registry science and international consensus guidance.
