Daniel A. Spyker's indexed work centers on clinical pharmacology and toxicology, often tracing how drug handling shapes both therapeutic effect and harm. Early first-author studies characterized the dose-dependent pharmacokinetics of amoxicillin across intravenous, oral, and intramuscular routes, while later senior-author work linked pharmacokinetic differences between amantadine and rimantadine to their distinct side-effect profiles. A parallel toxicology thread runs through case reports and series on 4-aminopyridine and strychnine poisoning, where exposure kinetics and clinical management are the throughline. Beyond those lead-author papers, Spyker contributed as a middle author to the American Association of Poison Control Centers' National Poison Data System annual reports, the surveillance series documenting national poisoning exposures and outcomes. His senior-author analysis of mortality associated with antidepressant medications using poison-center data extends that surveillance interest into pharmacovigilance. No software, datasets, patents, or funded grants appear in the indexed record; the contribution is a sustained arc from antibiotic and antiviral pharmacokinetics through bedside toxicology to population-level poisoning surveillance.
