Chunyan Miao's indexed work centers on federated learning across mobile edge, UAV, and vehicular networks, including a widely cited survey of the field and a contract-matching approach to federated learning in UAV-enabled Internet of Vehicles. A second strand concerns EEG-based emotion recognition using regularized graph neural networks, alongside surveys of semantic communications for future internet architectures and edge-enabled metaverse technologies. Earlier work on personalized point-of-interest recommendation via preference-transition mining and online multimodal deep similarity learning for image retrieval suggests a sustained interest in representation and recommendation. Beyond these, her portfolio includes middle-author contributions such as neighborhood-regularized logistic matrix factorization for drug-target interaction prediction and 3D CNN-based automatic diagnosis of ADHD from functional and structural MRI, indicating methodological reach into computational biology and neuroimaging. A 2023 contribution on bootstrap latent representations for multi-modal recommendation extends the recommender-systems thread. No software, datasets, patents, or grants are indexed beyond publications. Taken together, the arc runs from multimodal retrieval and recommendation toward federated, edge-deployed intelligence, with collaborators including Yan Zhang where the networking surveys connect.
