Chenguo Hu's indexed work centers on triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs), particularly the design of sponge-PDMS composites filled with high-dielectric nanoparticles to raise output, a 2015 study that remains among the most cited in this portfolio. A parallel thread quantifies and optimizes device physics: contact-status and air-breakdown modeling to maximize charge density, and charge space-accumulation effects in sliding-mode TENGs, both aimed at pushing practical power output. Related efforts extend to floating self-excited sliding generators for micro mechanical energy and capacitor-structured devices that maximize surface charge density, alongside porous Fe2O3 nanospheres on activated carbon cloth for symmetric supercapacitors, indicating a broader interest in energy storage and harvesting materials. Earlier and collaborative contributions include middle-author roles in flexible solid-state supercapacitors based on carbon-nanoparticle/MnO2 nanorod hybrids and in self-powered textiles hybridizing fiber-shaped nanogenerators, solar cells, and supercapacitors, the latter reflecting the kind of cross-institutional energy work in which Bote Zhao also appears. No software, datasets, patents, or grants are indexed beyond these publications. Taken together, the record traces a consistent line from materials-level tuning of charge generation toward device-level modeling, energy management, and wearable or self-powered sensing applications.
