Charlie Conroy's indexed work centers on how galaxies assemble their stellar populations across cosmic time and how those measurements depend on the models used to interpret them. His highly cited first-author study on propagating uncertainties in stellar population synthesis modeling examined how assumptions about stellar evolution and the initial mass function shape derived galaxy properties, work extended in a companion paper comparing evolution models to observations. As senior author, he linked galaxy growth to dark matter halo assembly from z = 0–10 through the UniverseMachine framework, and showed that luminous elliptical galaxies host a substantial population of low-mass stars. Beyond these, Conroy contributed as a middle author to the MIST stellar isochrones and tracks and to the MaNGA survey overview, and appears on Prospector, a stellar population inference tool associated with Benjamin D. Johnson. No software, datasets, grants, or patents beyond these publications are indexed. Taken together, the listed outputs trace a consistent line of inquiry: building and stress-testing the interpretive framework that connects observed galaxy light to the star formation histories and halo masses behind it.
