Brian J. Abraham's indexed work centers on how regulatory DNA shapes gene control, particularly small genomic insertions that form enhancers and misregulate oncogenes, a first-author study whose 94 citations reflect its role in linking noncoding mutation to cancer. Related first-author work traces dynamic epigenomic changes during hematopoiesis, connecting his computational focus to blood development. More recent senior-author contributions extend this line, including 3D super-enhancers as condensate-associated cis-regulatory communities and SEAseq, a portable cloud-based chromatin occupancy analysis suite. Earlier middle-author contributions anchor his broader context: he contributed to super-enhancers as regulators of cell identity and disease and to work on coactivator condensation linking phase separation to gene control, collaborations involving Matthew M. Meyerson. His senior-author methods outputs, notably SEAseq and a protocol for accurate cell-number-normalized differential gene expression measurement, suggest a sustained emphasis on making chromatin and expression analysis reproducible. Across these works, the through-line is computational dissection of how enhancer architecture and phase-separated regulatory machinery converge on oncogenic transcription.
