Bijay Jassal's indexed work centers on curating and annotating human biological pathways in the Reactome knowledgebase, where his first-author contributions include the widely cited 2019 resource describing the database's pathway content and its role as a reference for pathway analysis. Earlier first-author curation efforts extend this focus to specific pathway domains, notably the systematic annotation of the three main GPCR families and pathway annotation of the solute carrier class of membrane transporters, alongside senior-author curation of opioid signalling and arachidonic acid metabolism. These domain-specific annotations suggest a sustained interest in receptor signalling and small-molecule metabolism within a structured pathway framework. Beyond these lead-author works, Jassal appears as a middle author on successive Reactome knowledgebase releases, including the 2015 and 2017 Nucleic Acids Research updates, indicating ongoing contributions to the resource's maintenance and expansion. His earlier involvement in the complete nucleotide sequence of chromosome 3 of Plasmodium falciparum reflects a background in large-scale genomic sequencing that preceded his pathway-curation career. No software tools, datasets, patents, or grants are indexed beyond these publications. Taken together, the named works trace a trajectory from genome-scale sequencing toward systematic, domain-by-domain curation of human pathway knowledge, with Bruce May among his indexed collaborators.
