Anushya Muruganujan's indexed work centers on the PANTHER classification system for protein family and subfamily analysis, a resource she has helped develop across multiple versions. Her contributions include genome-scale phylogenetics and gene function analysis through PANTHER releases that expanded annotation data from Gene Ontology and Reactome pathways, alongside enrichment analysis tools and tree-based classification methods. Her most-cited indexed outputs, including the 2003 PANTHER library paper and the 2018 version 14 release, suggest a sustained role in maintaining and extending this platform for the research community. Beyond PANTHER, her indexed record includes contributions to the Gene Ontology resource and knowledgebase, large collaborative efforts to standardize gene function annotation. Her first-author work on BioPAX support in CellDesigner points to earlier interests in pathway data exchange standards. No software tools, datasets, patents, or grants are indexed beyond these publications. Taken together, the arc of her contribution runs from pathway and ontology interoperability toward large-scale functional classification infrastructure, with Paul D. Thomas as a recurring collaborator across the PANTHER line of work.
