Aditya Raguram’s indexed work centers on therapeutic in vivo delivery of gene editing agents, particularly through the engineering of virus-like particles (VLPs). His first-author *Cell* paper on this topic, which has garnered over 500 citations, established a framework for packaging and delivering gene-editing payloads in living animals. He subsequently advanced this approach by directed evolution of engineered VLPs with improved production and transduction efficiencies, reported in *Nature Biotechnology*, and has most recently led a genome-wide screening effort, as senior author in *Nature Communications*, to identify producer-cell modifications that further enhance VLP potency. Beyond his lead-author contributions, Raguram has been a key collaborator on foundational genome-editing technologies. He contributed to the development of prime editing and base editing systems, including the landmark *Nature* paper on search-and-replace editing and the *Nature Biotechnology* work on improving cytidine and adenine base editors. These middle-author efforts, alongside work on compact prime editors and twin prime editing, reflect a sustained focus on engineering the molecular tools and delivery vehicles that enable precise genetic modification.
